Amorphophallus - redesign for Wild Buck

Product

A motor driven ladies sex toy, modelled on the form of the amorphophallus genus of flower which has an elongated stamen.

Background

Working in consultation with Product Designer Paul Sheedy, we were invited to submit ideas for the redesign of Wild Buck - a best selling product overseas to break into the European market with a more design led product. This design was chosen from 10 to be modelled. I am not shy, so why not?!

Development

With a very small budget, tooling for injecton moulding was prohibitively expensive so I handmade it by outputting layer drawings from the CAD model (produced in Alias StudioTools) and laminating the contours out of closed cell foam and welding together with hot air, before a 'skin' is welded over the entire seat.
